leaping over and over

Sometimes you forget how long you were gone.

Then you find music is no longer popular.  Shows you were watching were canceled. Things that used to be are no more.

In ways it can be really good.

REALLY good.

In others, you can just feel left behind.

Your kids, the mortgage, life.

It all goes on.

Maybe not the same, but it goes.

And it never goes back.

It’s not supposed to.

Then you’re here. Trying to figure where to jump in. Jumping into a world that’s not the same.  That you don’t know.

Jump.  Jump.  Jump.

Nine falls for every ten times you leap.

Oh.  But that one time you land.

    Those last three lines…magnificent.
And you don’t hear the word “glorious” in everyday conversation…that should be addressed.

This entry, Anissa, has made it into my “Great Posts to Save” folder. I really, really, needed to hear what you said– and I will remember the glorious landings, not bashing myself for the stumblings (whether they’re emotional, physical, spiritual, anything really).
I hope to meet you, Peter and your family one day; so that I can Thank You in person.
    Much Love from The Minx

I hope you remember that landing one time makes all the falls fade away.
