maybe next time

I’m taking a break from packing.

I’m supposed to be getting ready to leave.

I’m going to the Detroit #140Conf to speak about the wind velocity of the Spanish Sparrow.

Or something.

I’m spending a few days away from my family, but with my friend Amanda again.

Last time we drove.

This time we’re flying.

It’s a little bit of progress each trip.

I’m not nervous about the speaking anymore.  I’m getting more comfortable with the physical changes I’m working away.

I’ll admit I’m nervous about the airport. The airplane. Security.

Did I tell you last time I tested positive for bomb residue?  On my leg brace.

I may not wear it this time.

I don’t have time to be a terrorist this time.

Faiqa – you crack me up! Anissa – you just want the chance to take advantage of “pre-boarding”, right? The whole hemiparesis thing is just schtick…

Oh, yeaaah, that was me, with the bomb residue, I think. I remember hugging your leg brace pretty hard at BlogHer.
