Some things never change.
The leaves falling in autumn.
The tide’s ebb and flow.
A woman will want to change the furniture around.
OH. IT IS GOOD!
I have curbed the urge because its something i can’t do for myself.
But today i finally did it.
I told the family where to put stuff and stayed out of the way.
Part of me hurt with the inability to pitch in.
Part of me has had to acknowledge how much i do. i deserved to ask for this help.
Hard though it might be.
For all i can’t do, there’s a lot i CAN.
For now it has to be enough.
I think its probably one of the biggest things my ex doesn’t miss about living with me (among many, many other things, ha!) — that annual irresistable urge to rearrange the house. Way to scratch the itch! Even if you did have to ask for help, DOESN’T IT FEEL GOOD when the couch is where you want it?

Girl….you have no idea how much I personally understand. Recovering from a brain injury I know with being a mom and being a mom during the holidays especially comes with traditions. Just as responsabilities as a wife and a mom those traditions come with expectations that sometimes I JUST CAN’T DO (no matter how MUCH I want too.) Girl- keep on being the glue that holds the fam together and you-one day will be able to move more than the couch-you will be able to move mountains
