Just when I get used to things, we switch them up.
On purpose, or not, it’s part of teaching myself to relearn the old.
Most may not understand.
Life in the wheelchair hasn’t been the biggest change.
Not having my right side working when I’m ride-side-dominant wasn’t THE transformation.
Learning to live without “Lost” was almost it.
You may be asking yoursel what is bigger than these things.
I live dizzy.
No matter how hard I work, how intense therapy is, what muscles I bring back, I’m still dizzy.
Oh, I work around it.
I’ve gotten pretty used to my world having a slight tremor.
Everything quakes the tiniest bit.
I don’t see far away because the farther it is, the more it moves.
Whether it’s eye thing, an ear thing, a metencephalon thing, it IS.
It’s one of the things I live with.
Always better than the alternative.

Oh man. I had an inner ear problem a few months ago and constantly felt like I had just jumped off a very fast moving merry go round. I hate that feeling, so I’m sorry you have to live with it all the time. Here’s to hoping it resolves itself or gets fixed so you can stop being dizzy (or ditzy, lol)!
Love the new blog badge…and knowing that you have to live dizzy makes me even more impressed with you than I already was.

Can’t we pick a different word? Like “Insulation”?
It’s sooo close!
I go through life ditzy. I’m not sure if that’s better or worse than dizzy. Who cares – like you said, it’s better than the alternative. I love that you’re not complacent and that you’re constantly challenging yourself. I’m so excited to see all the things that you accomplish in your long, industrious life!

You and I can open a bar together called “Dizzy and Ditzier” and have it staffed by blonds!
You are amazing and an inspiration.
