My right hand is “Sheila”.

My right foot is “Captain”

The new motorized wheelchair is “Bertha”.

Yes, the kids named my new wheelchair.

I’m getting a motorized wheelchair after not wanting one for so long.

I’m keeping my manual wheelchair for when I’m in the house. To push myself. Get what exercise I can.

I’m getting the power-chair for when I’m out and about. To be less reliant on the pusher. To not be as much of a burden. To have what independence I can have.

Welcome to our home. Bertha.

At Babble I posted an old letter I wrote to my kids in apology

Sounds like the perfect balance to me! You’ll still be getting some exercise, but gaining independence for when you are out and about. Although it was my privilege to push you around that party a bit at #BBCATL!

I know why but geez, I loved being your pusher! But I do love that new chair too! Question? Will it fit into my old volvo?

No Volvo, I’ll have to bring old tried ‘n true for that.
