working together at working together

Peter helped me with my shoes.

He pushed me down the road to the neighbor’s house.

We took turns talking to the boy and the parent about the situation and our reactions and the resulting outcomes.

We presented a united front for the sake of our children.

For the well-being of our girls we stopped the fighting that had been tearing us up.

Just hours before we were drawing emotional blood from each other.

We banded together for the bigger reason.

We are working to remember that.

It’s so hard.

Our pains are raw. Jagged. Extreme.

But this.

We can do it for them.

This really makes me happy. Such an adult, non-selfish point of view.

This is one of the most mature blog posts I’ve read anywhere in a long time. FWIW, I’m proud of the way you’re handling all of this.
