“How did you become part of Mom’s Advisory Board?”
People want to know what I did to get chosen to represent a company like Invisalign.
I DON’T HAVE A FREAKING CLUE!
I didn’t apply for it. I didn’t know it was an option. As the mom of an aligner-wearer, I’m thankful I WAS chosen.
But after working with Invisalign, blogging for them and telling about our journey from ferocious overbite to beautiful smile, I can tell you what I did as a MAB member.
1. REMAINED MYSELF – It hasn’t always been pleasant, my son did some really bone-headed stuff, I opted not to participate in things I didn’t agree with. Even though I love working with Invisalign, they like working with me for my ability to stay true to my voice and honest about our opinions.
2. USED MY SENSE OF HUMOR – this wasn’t always easy because my humor can be somewhat risque at times. I made sure that when I COULD insert it, it was fitting and appropriate to the message.
3. MEET RESPONSIBILITIES – I didn’t do this very good, life backed up on me! By telling them what was going on and talking about it I was able to make things work out for both me AND them.
4. BE DIFFERENT – lots of people are going to have cute kids that need aligners. Be prepare to tell your story in ways that are unique, stand out.
I can’t promise that doing these things are gong to get you on the MAB, but I can definitely tell you that if you DON’T do them, you don’t stand a chance.
While I am paid for my time, my opinion is my own and is never for sale.
You Got that?? MY OPINION IS MY OWN.**
I’m a member of the Mom’s Advisory Board, and my son received complimentary Invisalign treatment.
